Following a four-month extensive consultation (on the 15th and 16th of November 2023, online, the EU Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) hosted a series of Roundtable meetings on REMIT data reporting and transparency within wholesale energy markets) with stakeholders aimed at improving REMIT data reporting and to ensure the integrity and transparency of the European energy markets, on the 13th of March 2024 ACER published a new version:
- Transaction Reporting User Manual (TRUM) and its Annexes;
- FAQs on transaction reporting.
The amendments (TRUM and its Annexes) provide guidance on the reporting of transactions related to Liquified Natural Gas (LNG), Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), including new contract types and energy commodity. The new Annex VIII to further facilitate the reporting of LNG supply contracts under REMIT.
ACER also provides the updated 16th edition of the FAQs on REMIT transaction reporting. The updated edition of the FAQs includes Guidance on the reporting of transactions related to local flexibility products and clarifications on the reporting of gas transportation contracts related to capacity conversion and capacity upgrade.
The updated edition of the FAQs includes new frequently asked questions to better cover the evolution of the trading activity on EU markets.
