Nord Pool Spot AS designated as the nominated electricity market operator in Lithuania
Abiding by Articles 4 and 6 of Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/1222 of 24 July 2015 establishing a guideline on capacity allocation and congestion management (hereinafter – Regulation), the National Commission for Energy Control and Prices of the Republic of Lithuania (hereinafter – the „NCC“) adopted the Resolution as of 15 December 2015 No O3-649 regarding the designation of nominated electricity market operator (hereinafter – Resolution).
NCC has concluded that Nord Pool Spot AS activity complies with the provisions of Article 6 of the Regulation and it may be designated as the nominated electricity market operator in the Lithuanian electricity trade zone for four years after the entry into force of this Resolution, i. e. by 15 December 2019.
