The EU Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) published the 24th edition of its REMIT Quarterly. Covering the first quarter of 2021, this edition provides an assessment of the operation of different categories of market places and ways of trading in 2020 and includes an article on REMIT-related challenges in balancing services and redispatching.
The latest ACER quarterly also describes ACER's view on the repercussions of Brexit on the registration of market participants and data collection in connection to REMIT.
An overview of contingency reports opened by registered reporting mechanisms is also presented, along with the number of REMIT breach cases under review at the end of the first quarter of 2021, and market abuse decisions imposing sanctions for breaches of Articles 3 and 5 of REMIT for the last four quarters.
An update of the ACER Guidance is presented among other updates of REMIT documentation.
